More information has been received about a shooting incident that occurred in Lamar County on Tuesday Morning July 14 at 939 Chappell Mill Road near Milner.
Lamar Deputies responded to 939 Chappell Mill Road after receiving a call from 911 about a shooting incident. Reliable sources have advised WKEU news that Terrell Clark resident of the address was being visited by a individual he knew from Butts County when an altercation started between the two men. The Butts County man identified as Joshua James Cox allegedly pulled a firearm and shot Clark in the back when he turned to walk back into his home. Cox then allegedly shot Clark again in the head.
Cox then fled the scene and went back to Butts County where he got into a argument with his Mother and Father. He then allegedly beat them up and was arrested by Butts County Deputies a short time later.
Cox is currently being held in the Butts County Jail Charged with Aggravated Assault, and is also facing a Charge of Murder in Lamar County.
A service of the life of Terrell Clark’s life will be held at Faith Service in Christ Center in Jonesboro.
Also Clark’s Wife worked at the Griffin Waffle house for many years before being transferred to the Lamar County Waffle House in the past few months. The Staff of the Waffle House in Griffin on Highway 16 across from Home Depot will be holding a car wash to raise money for the Terrell Clark Family. He leaves behind a wife, a 17 year old, a 10 year old and an 11 year old. Money raised from the car wash on July the 25 th at the Waffle House on highway 16 in Griffin will benefit the Clark family. Additional donations can be made also during the Car Wash.
