The Griffin/Spalding Chamber of Commerce is getting ready for their 52nd Annual Christmas Parade to be held Saturday, Dec 6th at 6:00 p.m.

The Griffin/Spalding Chamber of Commerce is getting ready for their 52^nd Annual Christmas Parade to be held Saturday, December 6^th at 6:00 p.m.

“Characters of Christmas” is this year’s theme; participants are encouraged to decorate their entry accordingly.  All entries are required to have a decorated float, car or truck.  Walking units are encouraged to dress in holiday attire.  Judging will be held in the following categories:

Chamber’s Cup—Best Overall Presentation

Santa’s Choice—Best Representation of Parade Theme

            Best Walking Group—Marching, dancing skating, etc.

            Most Original—Based on originality and uniqueness

The regular parade route on West Taylor Street will be used beginning at 16^th Street at Chick-fil-a with units dispersing at 4th street turning right at the Old Cola Company.  Due to safety concerns, this will be a candy free event.
