The University of Georgia Griffin Campus held a forum for the discussion of timely and critical issues in Criminal Justice at the 2nd Annual CJ Day on Friday November 14 th. The event was from 8 until 1 pm at the Griffin Campus Student Learning Center.;
The mini-conference featured presenters form all areas of law enforcement, including a keynote address by the Honorable Judge Steven Teske on Georgia’s new criminal justice reform initiatives. The heavily attended event included many law enforcement personnel and those interested in a Criminal Justice Degree form throughout the area.

At the UGA Griffin Campus, the interdisciplinary studies bachelor’s degree is offered for the Criminal Justice Field, with concentrations in preparing graduates for a range of careers, including many fields within Criminal Justice. The program was also an opportunity for attendees interested in pursuing a carder in the CJ field to become acquainted with what UGA-Griffin Campus has to offer.
Dr. Doris Christopher and Dr. Kris Braman of the Griffin Campus both told WKEU news that the event was a great opportunity for individuals from those already working in criminal justice field to prospective students to come to our campus and learn about issues affecting their communities.
