A stabbing incident about 5:15 pm Sunday afternoon on Upland Drive, that resulted the the male victim being airlifted to Grady Hospital in Atlanta. The male victim was stabbed in the upper chest area.
911 dispatch Notified Griffin Police, Griffin Fire Rescue, Spalidng Regional EMS, and A Helicopter Air Ambulance based out of Fayetteville all responded to the scene.
Life Flight units based at the Griffin Spalidng Airport were all on calls and unable to respond. And a Helicopter Air unit from Fayette County was called to assist. A landing Zone was established at the Crest-view Baptist Church on the North Expressway. And the Fayette County Air Ambulance was on the landing zone about 5:38 pm.
The Male victim was taken to the Grady Trauma unit in Atlanta for Treatment.
As of late Sunday evening no further information of the victims condition was available, and more information will be released as the investigation continues.
