GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH
Gov. Kemp announced on Wednesday the government is extending Georgia’s public health state of emergency through May 13. “This measure will allow us to continue to deploy resources to communities in need, lend support to front-line medical providers, and keep preparing as we brace for potential patient surge in our healthcare facilities. We deeply appreciate the hard work of Georgians who are sheltering in place, using social distancing, and helping us flatten the curve. We are in this fight together,” Kemp said.
The measure only applies to the state of emergency at this time. The shelter-in-place order is still in effect until April 13.
There are only four counties in Georgia that don’t have confirmed cases of COVID-19.
As of Noon on Wednesday the Georgia Department of Pubic Health report of COVID19 virus in Georgia has increases to 9901 Cases with a Death toll reaching 362.
