The Griffin/Spalding Chamber of Commerce is getting ready for their 51st Annual Christmas Parade to be held Saturday, December 7th at 6:00 p.m.
“Christmas, A Time for Peace” is this year’s theme; participants are encouraged to decorate their entry accordingly. All entries are required to have a decorated float, car or truck. Walking units are encouraged to dress in holiday attire.
Judging will be held in the following categories:
Chamber’s Cup—Best Overall Presentation
Santa’s Choice—Best Representation of Parade Theme
Best Walking Group—Marching, dancing skating, etc.
Most Original—Based on originality and uniqueness.
The regular parade route on West Taylor Street will be used beginning at Chick-fil-a with units dispersing at 4th Street. Due to safety concerns, this will be a candy free event.
