




Emory Air Flight
Around 6:30 Monday night units from the Griffin Police Department, Griffin Fire and Rescue, Spalding Regional EMS, Emory Air Flight, Troopers from The Griffin Post of The Georgia State Patrol all responded to an individual being stuck by a vehicle in front of Speedway Ford on the North Expressway.
Upon arrival units discovered on individual had been struck by a vehicle and was unconscious but breathing, but was found to be bleeding profusely. A landing zone was established on the North Expressway in front of Speedway Ford which resulted in both north and southbound lanes being closed.
The victim was treated at the scene and then transported to Atlanta Medical Center by Emory Air Flight Helicopter Air Ambulance based at the Griffin Spalding Airport. The victim was not identified until the investigation is complete. The accident is still under investigation by the Georgia State Patrol and more information will be forthcoming.
