The Griffin City Commissioners will meet Tuesday October 27 at 6 pm, in the meeting room of the city offices at 100 South Hill Street.
During the meeting the Commissioners will consider a Proclamation declaring Sunday, November 1, 2015 to be Retired Educators Day.
The Commissioners will receive comments regarding a request to rezone the property located at 657 North Expressway consisting of 7.03 +/- acres from Planned Commercial Development to Institutional, submitted by Southern Crescent Technical College Foundation.

Consider approval, on second reading, of an Ordinance amending the Unified Development Code relative to SIGNS, by repealing the current ordinance and adopting a comprehensive revision of signage.
Consider adoption of an ordinance amending the Code of Griffin, Georgia, at Chapter 58 by enacting a new Sec. 58-13, AGGRESSIVE PANHANDLING; declaring such conduct to be an offense against the City and providing sanctions. The. City Attorney Drew Whalen and Police Chief Steve Heaton will address.
Consider approval of a bid and work agreement with P.F. Moon & Company for the construction and installation of an Adjustable Frequency Drive (AFD) for Still Branch Regional Water Treatment Facility in the amount of $160,000.
Consider agreement with Online Registration Service for City Pavilion Reservation and Payment for the Public Works and Utilities Department.
Consider approval of that certain GENERAL RELEASE AND INDEMNIFICATION AGREEMENT between Cheryl L. Gilbert and the City of Griffin, settling all claims (present, pending, and unasserted), arising from a motor vehicle collision that formed the subject matter of Civil Action in the State Court of Spalding County.
Consider approval of a Resolution to continue as a Certified City of Ethics.
Consider approval of travel request of Vice Chair Dick Morrow to attend the MEAG power Mayors’ Summit November 13-15, 2015
