Red Cross to Visit Griffin, GA To Install Smoke Alarms, Teach People Fire Safety.
The American Red Cross, Central Midwest GA Chapter, will be visiting the Griffin Community in Spalding County as part of its Home Fire Preparedness Campaign to install free smoke alarms where needed and teach people how to be prepared for home fires.
The Red Cross will be going through the Griffin community on September 26 starting at 10am to install smoke alarms in homes that need them and teach people about what to do now in case a fire breaks out in their home. Joining the Red Cross will be the Spalding County Fire Department and Griffin Center Point Church. Volunteers are still needed to support the campaign. No experience is necessary and training will take place the morning of the event at 9am.
