A 52-year old Culloden man was killed in an industrial accident Friday night at the Jordan Lumber plant in the Barnesville industrial park.
Lamar coroner Jim Smith identified the dead man as Thomas Grantham of 100 Norwood Street in Culloden.
Corner Smith Stated Grantham’s body was taken to the state crime lab for autopsy and routine toxicology testing, for a determination as to the exact cause of death.
The coroner said Grantham was walking between two stacks of lumber when a forklift driver “closed the gap” between the two stacks and Grantham was crushed.
Breedlove Memorial Chapel will be in-charge of arrangements.
