Tuesday afternoon December 2nd, two male suspects robbed the AT&T store located on highway 54 in Peachtree City. Law enforcement officers from, Peachtree City, Fayette County, and Clayton counties arrested a woman involved in the incident and are continuing to search for two other individuals identified as male suspects in relation to the robbery that occurred late Tuesday afternoon.
Peachtree City officers responded at 6 p.m. to the AT&T store from a report of an reported robbery. Investigators indicated that a number of cell phones were taken during the robbery.
The subjects were located on Highway 54 east of Fayetteville. The suspect vehicle was abandoned near Corinth Road and the occupants attempted to flee the area. Officers called in K-9 units and searched the area. Fayette County Sheriff Barry Babb said a female suspect found in the vehicle was taken into custody in the Corinth Road area.
The Sheriff also said the two males eluded officers during the search. One of the males was described as a black male wearing all black with a black cap. The other male was described as a black male wearing a red hoodie. One of the male suspects was reportedly armed with a semi-automatic handgun.
The Fayette Sheriffs Department is continuing the investigation and more information is expected to be released later..
