A ground breaking ceremony for the new Spalding Regional Hospital Medical Office Building for Physicians and Griffin Internal Medicine will utilize about 20,000 square feet of the new 50,000 square foot building. The new facility marks the third expansion for Spalding regional in the past 11 years. The Ground breaking was held Friday September 26 th and is located adjacent to the main hospital entrance.
WKEU news was at the groundbreaking and we talked with Spalding Regional Chief Executive Officer John Quinn about the new building:
We also asked Mr. Quinn about the new expanded parking area.
Mr. Quinn said that the new expansion is not adding rooms for hospital beds but for Doctors offices to have a building attached to the hospital that will also add to recruiting of new doctors to the area.
Internal Medicine will move from their current facility to the new building and utilize 20,000 square feet of space for expanded operations for patients.
