The Spalding Jaguars and Griffin Bears were in action on Friday night. The Spalding Jaguars hosted the LaGrange Grangers at memorial stadium in a hard fought battle to the last minute before losing in the final moments of the game the bears were driving and went to the LaGrange 30 yard line before time ran out. The final score was a heartbreaker 14 to 8. It was a non region game and the Jaguars will be back in action next Thursday night as they host Walnut Grove High School the Tail Gate Show will start at 5:30 and the game is set for a 7:00 kick off. Due to it being a Thursday night game. The Griffin Bears won big with a 600 th win in Griffin High Bear Football History. The Bears traveled to Burke County at Waynesboro a 150 mile road trip. The final Score for the game was Griffin Bears 36 and Burke County Bears 22. Next Friday night will be the first home game for the 2014 season for the Bears at Memorial stadium as they host East Side of Covington.
