Gordon State College President Max Burns, Piedmont Construction Superintendent Dan Born, Student Government President Ornella Oluwole and Sharon Lloyd, director of student activities recently toured the Student Recreation and Activity Center. The Center, which is about 65 percent complete, is at the corner of College Drive and Highlander Way, adjacent to Alumni Memorial Hall. It contains a full basketball court with seating on both sides, cardio and strength/weight training rooms, a multi-use area, offices, a food court and food prep section and other recreation areas all within the single-story 56,000 square-foot building. Construction is expected to be complete in early 2015.
