WKEU has been advised that Gordon State College Student Center was evacuated Tuesday about Noon. The reason for the evacuation was a malfunction of a piece of equipment in the Dinning Hall of the Student Center.The malfunction occurred in the Food preparation area causing some smoke in the area. Students in the dining hall were evacuated.
No one was injured and everyone was allowed back into the building around 12:20. The Student Center is one of the largest buildings on the Campus over 50,000 square fee and contains The Book Store, Dining Hall, the Gordon Foundation Offices, and Mail room and administrative offices.
