The Monroe County Sheriffs Department has advised WKEU news that Candace Walton appeared in Monroe County Superior Court, following her extradition from Kentucky. She was wanted in relation to a house fire that took the life of two Monroe County residents that the GBI Crime Lab has positively identified as Gerald Walton age 21, and and Candace Walton’s Mother 46 Year old Tasha Vandiver. The Two were killed in a house fire in Monroe County. Candace Walton fled Monroe County and was caught by Kentucky Police a few days following the fire due to a lookout placed by the Monroe County Sheriffs Department. .

Candace Walton is the sister of Gerald and daughter of Tasha Walton. Candice Walton appeared before Monroe County Superior Court Judge Tommy Wilson on Wednesday afternoon. Walton’s chargers were read by Judge Wilson and are as follows.
Two (2) Counts of Felony Murder as a result of Arson in the First Degree.
And there will be more charges to follow, according to the Monroe County Sheriffs Department.
