About 8:20 on Sunday evening 11 Dispatch issued a call to the Spalding Fire Department, and Spalding Deputies of a structure fire at 281 Wild Wood circle and Johnny cut road off Locust Grove Road. Upon arrival Spalding Fire unis asked 911 dispatch to call Central Georgia EMC to disconnect power at the structure.
Chief Jamie Clark said that upon arrival flames were showing from the residence.
Wild Wood road was blocked due to the water feeder hoses laid to feed the fire pumper truck to fight the fire.
The Supervisor at the scene notified all inside personnel fighting the blaze that the chimney was leaning toward the inside of the home. Inside personnel advised they felt that all residents were out side the home.
Fire fighters that were inside and outside the building continued to fight the blaze in an attempt to save other areas of the Structure.
By about 9:40 the fire was knocked down to the point that they could not determine if it was smoke or steam cumming from the damaged area of the residence. The home was heavily damaged and the incident is under investigation.
There were no injuries from residents of the home, or fire fitters.
