Spalding investigators made an arrest in the two most recent armed robberies of the former Hot Spot Exon Station on the North Expressway. Sheriff Dix advised WKEU news that one of the suspects was positively identified and Investigators took a search warrant Friday and staked out the Super 8 Hotel where they saw Anna Carole Halton enter the building. Investigators secured the search warrant and entered the room. Halton and a male suspect fled into the bathroom. The Deputies deployed a flash grenade and the subjects then gave up. The firearm used in the robbery’s was found on the person of a the male suspect. Initial arrests included 17 year old Anna Caroline Halton and a male subject in connection with the crimes. The pair were taken into custody. Another male suspect was also arrested. The investigation is continuing and additional details will be released later.
