The Griffin City Commissioners will meet March 13, at 6 pm in the city offices downtown. During the meeting the Commissioners will consider a negotiated temporary (180 day) contract extension with Cintas Atlanta for uniform services and for the express purpose to prepare and issue a request for proposal. Identify and provide product specifications, evaluate bidders, and conduct the appropriate evaluation to determine the best uniform services solution for the City, and execute a contract before September 2018
Consider renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Griffin, Spalding County, Spalding County Board of Education and University of Georgia Partners as participants in the Spalding County Archway Partnership for FY 19.
Discuss the Griffin Spalding County Land Bank Authority’s policy on disposition of real property and provide a recommendation.
Consider renewal of an Agreement between City of Griffin and The Griffin-Spalding County Board of Education for the purpose of providing School Resource Officer(s) from the city.
Consider amending the City’s Veterans Memorial Cemetery Regulations for the Public Works Department.
Consider approval of bid and work contract for Meriwether Corridor Phase II to McLeRoy Equipment, LLC., in the amount of $947,783.85 for the Water and Wastewater Department of the Public Works and Utilities Department
Consider appointment of Business Representative Member to the Griffin Housing Authority Board to fill the unexpired term of Lee Hancock, for a term set to expire 12/31/20.
Consider travel request for Commissioners McCord and Reid-Ward for the Robert E. Knox, Jr. Municipal Leadership Institute on April 10-13, 2018 and the Spring 2018 Two-Day Training on April 12-13, 2018 at Callaway Gardens.
